Planning Committee Mini-Rally Friday, May 31 – Sunday, June
2, 2013
The Planning Committee met at the Elkhart County 4-H
Fairground to review all aspects of the rally to assure all attendees will have
a memorable experience. Budget, assignments and minute details were addressed
to make the events run smoothly and efficiently. Below are some of the photos
of members at work and enjoying camaraderie. Note: GLAMA paid for one night of
camping and the Friday evening “haystack” dinner. All other expenses including
June 1 camping and the Saturday evening dinner were paid for by each Planning
Committee member.

Roush (left) led the processes at this important part of the preparation for the
September area rally. Jon welcomed the group, set the agenda and allowed
everyone present to contribute to the discussion. Jon and Jane made the
necessary arrangements to allow for greater enjoyment at the mini-rally

Friday afternoon and much of Saturday.
On Friday evening Jon arranged for a vendor pictured below to serve
the mini-rally attendees a haystack dinner. The purpose was to evaluate the
vendor for the 2014 area rally. All who partook of the meal spoke highly of the
dinner.

Below are photos of the Saturday dinner at Peterson’s
Steakhouse in Goshen, June 1 at conclusion of mini-rally. Delicious food, great
discussion, more solutions discovered and deeper friendships developed.
